EnerMax Homes achieves an amazing .77 Air Change rating.

EnerMax Homes is pleased to annouce that our most recently completed home has achieved an air change rating of .77 per hour. This testing was performed by an independent, government certified, energy advisor and represents an increase in air tightness of almost 500% over a conventionally built home. In order to achieve R2000 certification a home must obtain an air change rating of at least 1.5 ACH (Air Changes per Hour). Air changes are determined by performing a blower door test which measures air leaking in or out of the home through uncontrolled sources such as windows, doors, vents etc. A rating of .77 represents an increase of almost 100% over R2000 minimum standards. For you, the home owner, this means substantial savings in energy costs. The same report states that this home will save an average of $1703.62 per year on energy costs and produce more than 10 tons less in green house gas emissions.
