EnerMax Homes achieves an amazing .77 Air Change rating.

EnerMax Homes is pleased to annouce that our most recently completed home has achieved an air change rating of .77 per hour. This testing was performed by an independent, government certified, energy advisor and represents an increase in air tightness of almost 500% over a conventionally built home. In order to achieve R2000 certification a home must obtain an air change rating of at least 1.5 ACH (Air Changes per Hour). Air changes are determined by performing a blower door test which measures air leaking in or out of the home through uncontrolled sources such as windows, doors, vents etc. A rating of .77 represents an increase of almost 100% over R2000 minimum standards. For you, the home owner, this means substantial savings in energy costs. The same report states that this home will save an average of $1703.62 per year on energy costs and produce more than 10 tons less in green house gas emissions. Goddesses for a Cure raise over $10,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society

$6335.00 in online donations and over $4000.00 in private donations for a total in excess of $10335.00. My wife and I want to thank all of our friends, family, co-workers, clients and suppliers who helped the team of Goddesses for a Cure raise more than double their original goal of $5000.00.  With the generous donations of all our supporters and the hard work of all the teams in the Sackville Relay for Life the Sackville organizing committe raised $160,000 in total donations. That’s $42,000 over their original target of $118,000.00. Way to go everyone.

EnerMax Homes is pleased to support the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life team of Goddesses For A Cure. Like most Canadian families our family has been touched by cancer as well. I lost my mom, Therese Stymest, to lung cancer in July 2004 and her sister Judy Davis, my aunt, is a cancer survivor. Judy will be participating in the survivors lap on June 13th in the Sackville Relay for Life. These two beautiful strong women have taught me alot, mainly that no matter what challanges you face in life you can face them with courage and diginity. The all female team of Goddesses For a Cure have taken the challange of a 24 hour relay head on. The team consists of my wife Marlene Stymest, Kellie & Lisa Davis, daughters of Judy Davis and many friends and family of Judy and Therese and they need our help.
